Allen Staringer
I was born in Everett, WA in 1948- raised and lived in Washington my entire life. Accepted Jesus’ sacrifice when I was 12 years old in an Episcopal church in Marysville, WA. Married in 1979 to Debra, we raised a daughter (Angela) and my nephew (David). My daughter was married in 2006 to a wonderful husband (Matt) and they have two lovely daughters (ages 9 and 6) which Debra and I greatly adore. Angela and Matt are strong and ever‐growing Christians and are raising their daughters to be strong in the faith. David accepted Christ in 2018 and is growing in the Way.
At Camano Chapel I have served as an usher, a Trustee, a missions committee member, and served in Awana. I have served on various short term missions trips to Haiti on medical, dental , construction and Moringa teams.
My career is in forestry and I have worked full time for Pilchuck Tree Farm since 1971 and part time with my own consulting business. God has blessed me with a career that I have loved to work at every day and has enabled me to support several foreign and domestic missionaries and missions.
Gary and Sharon Schaeffer
Sharon and I were baptized near our 30th anniversary and we start our day reading Psalms together followed by prayer. My favorite bible verse is Phil 3:10 “My determined purpose is to know God…” .
We have been married for fifty (50) years. We have three adult children. Sharon and I serve on the Camano Chapel Missions board and have been a member for over 5 years. I am very passionate about missions and have been on short-term missions trips to Haiti for the last 10+ years. I also serve on a committee for a bible study /outreach at Camano Chapel (our home church).
I retired from work at age 70. I was president of a real estate holding company and served in that position for 18 years. Accounting and cash projections were my strong skills and I enjoyed the work I was engaged in since 1973.
